Syncing orders with Google Calendar or Outlook

Setup using Google Calendar

To add a feed of your Bloom orders to your Google Calendar, follow these steps.

  1. From your Bloom admin, navigate to Upcoming Orders.
  2. Click the Sync with Google button.
  3. Copy the Calendar URL shown in the dropdown.
  4. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  5. On the left, next to "Other calendars", click Add > From URL.
  6. Paste the Calendar URL you copied earlier.
  7. Click Add calendar. The calendar appears on the left, under "Other calendars."

Note: It might take up to 24 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar. Read more on Google's website.

Setup using Outlook.com

To add a feed of your Bloom orders to your Outlook Calendar on the web, follow these steps.

  1. From your Bloom admin, navigate to Upcoming Orders.
  2. Click the Sync with Google button.
  3. Copy the Calendar URL shown in the dropdown.
  4. On your computer, sign in to Outlook.com.
  5. At the bottom of the page, select the Calendar icon.
  6. In the navigation pane, select Add calendar.
  7. Select Subscribe from web.
  8. Paste the Calendar URL you copied earlier.
  9. Click Import.

Note: Syncing can take more than 24 hours, although updates should happen approximately every 3 hours. Read more on Microsoft's website.

Setup using Outlook Desktop

To add a feed of your Bloom orders to your Outlook Calendar using the desktop app, follow these steps.

  1. From your Bloom admin, navigate to Upcoming Orders.
  2. Click the Sync with Google button.
  3. Copy the Calendar URL shown in the dropdown.
  4. On your computer, open the Outlook app.
  5. On the Home tab, under Manage Calendars, and click Add Calendar > From Internet.
  6. In the popup box, paste the Calendar URL you copied earlier.
  7. Click Yes to confirm. The calendar will appear under "Other Calendars".

Why aren't my orders syncing?

The Bloom calendar feed will always be up to date with your latest Bloom orders, however Google and Outlook calendars only sync at set intervals. This can range from once every 3 hours, up to around 24 hours, depending on the service you're using.

For this reason, it is recommended to wait 24-48 hours to see if new orders appear in your calendar, before contacting support about syncing issues.

This also means that you should not rely on your synced calendar to provide real-time order data, as it may only update once a day. If you need a real-time list of orders, use the Upcoming Orders table in your Bloom admin to see the latest orders sorted chronologically.

Manually re-syncing orders

If you wish to manually re-sync your orders to update the feed instantly, you can do so by deleting/unsubscribing the calendar you created, and re-adding it again. This should re-fetch your Bloom orders and display the latest changes.
